Our main take aways out of the guest lecture of Richard Porges, British Columbia



Destination BC has a very clear picture of its strategy and short- and long-term goals. They put a lot of effort in creating a strong and important economical sector in BC by putting the focus on locals, a harmonic coexistence and creating synergies with other business sectors.

„Know your market and go for it!”

This way, we really think that with the transition the destination is seeking for, residents will be able to see the big picture and how nature, culture and economy can be combined in tourism and that social, economic, and environmental impact can be achieved with revenues generated from tourism in equal measure.
